Goldenrod Tunnel

As you arrive down by the corridor with the locked door, you'll see the fourth kimono girl there waiting for you. What the heck, how bizarre, why is she there? She'll then do some weird dance and run off, leaving you free to open the basement door.

Anyway, make your way down the stairs and then get ready to fight some Rocket Grunts! Oh, but wait, before you're able to proceed... your red headed rival shows up again to spoil your fun, this time challenging you to a fight!

His Pokemon have gotten quite a bit tougher, plus he's even added a new one to his roster — Sneasel. Handle his Pokemon with care, try to use type matchups to your advantage whenever possible, and be careful when his starting Pokemon has its HP below 1/3 its max, because then the attacks of its type will be extra strong!

After beating him, you'll still have plenty more Grunts to deal with, so get ready for a long trek with some puzzles.

Items at Goldenrod Tunnel
Full Heal Full Heal
Just past the first Rocket Grunt.
Smoke Ball Smoke Ball
Right past the first Burglar in the colored puzzle room.
Ultra Ball Ultra Ball
By some crates in the storage room.
Max Ether Max Ether
In the southeastern corner in the storage room.
TM82 (Sleep Talk) TM82 (Sleep Talk)
Right by the Station Manager in the storage room.

First, get through a few Grunts and Burglars so you can access those colored switches on the wall. See the floor tiles and how they're colored in some room? Well there's a hint on how to solve it if you fight the Grunt in the northwest corner, but you have me, so just press each one of them once, starting from Red, to Green, to Blue if it makes any difference, and then you'll be able to walk on through to the southeast exit. Be sure to pick up the Smoke Ball and Full Heal on the way, though.

Fight that last Grunt, hit the purple switch near her so you can easily leave, and then head into more of a storage room area. Pick up the Ultra Ball on your way if you want as well as the Max Ether.

Keep going along until you reach the real owner dude in the middle of the place. Talk to him and he'll show his gratitude by giving you the Card Key, which can be used to open that one door you needed to get into in the Radio Tower. There's also TM82 (Sleep Talk) right next to him, which I would advise against teaching your Pokemon for right now.

Now that you have the Card Key, head northeast and up the stairs to reach an exit with an Amulet Coin waiting right there for you. Sweet! That doubles the amount of money you earn after each fight if the Pokemon holding it participated in the battle. Where are you now? You're in the basement of the Department Store, of course, so get back to the Pokemon Center if you want, restock on healing supplies (hey, they're right here), and then return to the Radio Tower for the conclusion against Team Rocket!
