Colosseum is an awesome game! The graphics are stunning, and the music is great. Its the best game i've ever played. ~ switchblade1812
Pokemon Colosseum is the first Pokemon game to be released in 2004 (in the USA, at least), and it's definitely a wonderful game that's worth playing to satisfy your Pokemon craving! It combines some of the best elements of Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, and Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, tosses them up, adds a very original RPG mode, and presto! It's a hit!
Pokemon Colosseum has an extremely unique RPG mode built into the game, that involves Steal- err, Snagging Shadow Pokemon from other crooked Trainers! Any other Pokemon game will seem nicey-nice compared to even the first quarter of Colosseum's RPG mode! Not revealing too much, but you play as an ex-member of the neferious Team Snagem. You steal their prized Snag Machine - used to Snag Pokemon from other Trainers, - blow up their hideout, and make a nice getaway with your two trusty Pokemon. Of course, things only get worse as you find out about a sinister plan going on in the land of Orre, so you wind up joining forces with a psychic girl capable of seeing a Shadow Pokemon's 'Aura.'
Unlike the rest of the Pokemon world, Pokemon are very scarce in Orre - the region where all of the RPG mode takes place - and few people possess them.
The game offers 48 Shadow Pokemon for you to Snag and Purify on your quest! And, to make things even better, not only can you use any Purified Pokemon that you catch in the RPG mode in any of the game's Battle Modes, you can also, after beating RPG mode, transfer any Purified Pokemon to your Ruby and Sapphire game! That means you can get up to 50 Pokemon that aren't in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and, if you can get females of some of the Pokemon, you can even get their lower stages in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire! So, including Jirachi, you can legally have up to 270 Pokemon on your Pokedex for Ruby and Sapphire!
